Mother Cat Births Kitten Then Adopts KittenA Youtuber who goes by Cat give birth started a channel to post videos of their purebred British Golden Chinchilla cats when the female cat, Kira, gave birth to her first litter. Well, the cat didn't produce a litter, just one kitten. But soon things took a turn. The human of the family saw a local notice that an orphan kitten needed a nursing mother. This kitten was still so young its eyes weren't yet open. Our Youtuber volunteered to foster the kitten. Would Kira help out? As you can see in the video above, she heard the kitten's cries, investigated, and looked around for the kitten's mother. Then after thinking about it for a hot minute, claimed the kitten as her own. Kentucky Shelter Cats Airlifted to Massachusetts After TornadosWhen deadly tornadoes flattened several western Kentucky towns last week, many pets were displaced and needed temporary shelter. But the local shelters were already full of cats, so the good people of Massachusetts came to the rescue. Around 100 cats waiting for adoption in the shelters were flown from Kentucky to Hanscom Field airport in Bedford, Massachusetts, Wednesday. This emptied the shelters in Kentucky so they could take in lost pets that were displaced by the disaster.

While Gus proved be rather healthy for a 19-year-old, the shelter was skeptical that anyone would adopt such an elderly cat.At about the same time, a local family was mourning the loss of their mother's cat. The mother, Penny, is 101 years old, and was heartbroken without her feline companion. The family asked the shelter for an older cat that would be gentle to Penny. The Humane Society staff ascertained that Penny had family members who guaranteed the cat's care. And so a match was made.
