Skippy is the Oldest Dog in Ireland at 130 Human Years Old

They say dogs are man’s best friends. Well, this Irish dog has been best friends with his owner for over twenty years. Skippy was born in 1995, which makes him over 130-years-old in dog years. That makes him perhaps one of the oldest dogs in Ireland AND the world.

His owner Pat Geraghty, 84, has raised Skippy since he was a few weeks old. The pup was born in a dog kennel in Belmullet sometime in 1995. Since then, they’ve spent the years together in Pat’s County Mayo farm.

Asked about the secret to Skippy’s longevity, Pat simply concluded that it must’ve been the natural food he’d fed him and the open air of the Erris Peninsula that they lived in.
