Agnes Sligh Turnbull gave us the quote,"Dogs' lives are too short. Their only fault, really.” Saying goodbye to a family member is emotionally wrenching. It is only afterward that you realize there are no pictures of the entire family showing love to your dog after he/she has passed.
Lauren Smith-Kennedy is a photographer and director of a wildlife rehab facility in Maine. She has been offering free photo shoots of people with their dogs who are about to cross the rainbow bridge. She records "...one of the purest forms of love and companionship that exists."
Smith-Kennedy's photographs sometimes show deep grief and other times show affectionate smiles, but all illustrate the love that humans have for their beloved companion animals. Read more about Smith-Kennedy's end-of-life photography at PetaPixel. -via Nag on the Lake
