Daisy the Rhino Gets a Mud Bath

A baby rhinoceros named Daisy (previously at Supa Fluffy) is being raised at Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary in South Africa. She was orphaned at birth, most likely due to poachers. Daisy battled a nasty infection as a newborn, but with human care, she pulled through and is now thriving.

With no mother to teach her how to roll in the mud, her carers are giving almost two-month-old Daisy her first mud bath! Mud helps to keep a rhino's skin moisturized and protects them from sun damage, heat, and parasites. Watch her zoom around with joy when she's completely covered! The zebra foal you see is Modjadji, Daisy's best friend. -via reddit ā€‹
