Cat Lost in Snowstorm is Brought Home by FireA year ago, a cat named Boots wandered away from his home in Colorado. Before he could make it back, the area was blanketed with four feet of snow and Boots became lost. As the weeks and months passed, Jules Lieb thought she'd never see her cat again. But it was another disaster that brought Boots home again. The Marshall fire ripped through Boulder County, Colorado, in December of 2021. On January 4, an energy company worker was sifting through the rubble and found a badly burned orange cat hiding in a storm drain. The cat was taken to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, where he was treated and sheltered. When Boots showed signs that he was healing up, the Humane Society posted pictures hoping to find the cat's owner, which were shared by the TV station CBS4. Word of the cat got back to Lieb, who recognized her long-lost Boots.
Long Lost Cat Came Back After 12 Years on the LamChristine De Castro received the best New Year's gift. She received a call from Vaughan Animal Services informing her that her cat had been found. When Christine De Castro got the call from animal services, she instantly became confused. She did a quick inventory check of her pets. She has a cat and two dogs. She found them all accounted for. To her surprise, the cat that was being referred to was her long-lost cat, Loli. Loli had been missing for more than a decade. The brown tabby escaped from their home in Richmond Hill, Ontario, during the summer of 2010. A week after reuniting with her cat, she was still in a state of shock. She recalled that when she lost Loli, she scoured the neighborhood and shared Facebook posts, but she was not able to find her at that time. This is why she did not expect that she would find Loli ever again. Although it may have been hard for Loli to recognize her owner again, Loli has already given her owner quite a few kisses and cuddles which is a good sign of rekindling their relationship.Image credit: CBC News #Cat #Ontario #Pet #Reunion #Animals
Cat Missing for Nine Years Reunited with FamilyA family in Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, lost their cat Marley when she escaped her harness on a walk. They searched for her and put up notices, but heard nothing back. That was in 2012. Then in December of 2021, a stray cat was brought to PawPurrs Halfway House animal shelter. There, Katie Hayes scanned the skinny, disheveled cat for a microchip but found none. A second scan revealed a chip with Marley's name and a phone number. The family still had the same phone number, and were shocked to hear that Marley has been found. Hayes was quite shocked, too, to find that Marley had been missing for nine years! The now 20-year-old cat had an emotional reunion with her family.
