Two Otters and a Lifesaver
Otters are excellent swimmers and don't need a lifesaver. But Kotaro and Hana (previously at Supa Fluffy) are infinitely curious about anything that's new. They want to explore this strange new object, but are wary about it at the same time. What's that new thing doing in our pool? How is it floating? It doesn't take long before Kotaro is trying to tear the lifesaver apart, while Hana mainly complains about it. In some parts of this video, you get the idea that the otters are just showing off for the camera. They are very good at that! If you get a chance, check out the custom t-shirt Kotsumet (the human) is wearing at the beginning of the video. #otter #KotaroandHana #lifesaver
Do Otters See Optical Illusions?
Otters are smart, adorable, curious, and playful, but they normally do not make good house pets. Lucky for us, we can enjoy them on video and avoid cleaning up after them! Hand-raised otters Kotaro and Hana receive extensive enrichment activities, and the latest is an optical illusion rug. This rug is designed to look like a hole in the floor. Kotaro and Hana are pretty surprised to see it at the bottom of the stairs -as we all would be. Hana is game to jump right down the hole, while Kotaro is more cautious. They soon get used to it as just a rug, but they are still up for playtime!#otter #illusion #KotaroandHana
