The Video Game Stray is a Hit with Cats

Stray is a new video game in which you play as a cat. Your interactions are the things a normal cat would do, such as wandering around and licking yourself. It seems a waste of time to do what a cat spends most of its day doing, which is sleeping. How realistic is the game? It's true-to-life enough that players' cats are paying attention! Reports are coming in from all over of cats who follow the stray on the screen, even to the point of imitating its actions. There's even a Twitter account called Cats Watching Stray that retweets cats that are fascinated with the video game.

Oh yes, there are many cats in the game world, which can draw a lot of real-world cats.

Players complain that their own cats block the screen so much that they can't play. It's really less a complaint and more of a brag. You get the idea that these cat lovers would gladly cede their game time to their pets, if they had any choice in the matter.
