The meme died down after a while. It turns out that cats don't really hate cucumbers, but they can be panicked by the sudden appearance of something unfamiliar. But there's one cat who really loves cucumbers.
Mauri was curious the first time he encountered a cucumber, and decided to give it a chance. And he fell in love. He'll take any opportunity to chew on a cucumber, while giving the cold shoulder to other vegetables. He even sleeps with a cucumber toy.
