Meet Richie du Mont d’Even, also known as Richie the Mainecoon. He looks as if he's wearing an extra fur coat on top of his own, but that's all his, both black face and natural mane. Richie is a Blacksmoke Maine Coon cat, which means his fur color depends on its length. Smoke Maine Coons are explained here.
Catitude spoke with Richie's owner, French makeup artist Adriana Piraino, and found out that the cat requires a lot of grooming, and his favorite hobby is looking out the window at birds. Piraino was surprised as Richie grew from a kitten and developed his unique look.
