This dog is a hero and a very good friend!
North, an Alaskan Malamute, saved Grga Brkic, a hiker who fell while hiking the Croatian mountains by lying on top of him for 13 hours. This action kept him warm until they were rescued.
The eight-month-old Alaskan Malamute curled around him. The dog continue to warm him even after Brkic was finally rescued. The animal remained, protecting him from the cold and other potentially harmful elements outside. “This little dog is a real miracle,” the hiker told the Jutarnji List daily paper. North emerged none the worse from the entire incident.
