Agnes Sligh Turnbull once said, "Dogs' lives are too short. Their only fault, really." Dogs are the embodiment of unconditional love. The price of that love is having to say goodbye. ESPN commentator Scott Van Pelt delivered a fitting tribute to his dog Otis, who recently suffered from cancer, but no more. Otis was loving, joyful, and loyal, even when he had to share Van Pelt's attention with three children, to whom he was also devoted. Although Van Pelt is grieving the loss of his best friend mightily, he says that pain is worth every minute, because it is outweighed by the joy Otis brought him over the years.
