The <a href="https://coastalwatershedinstitute.org/" alt="Coastal Watershed Institute" class="on">Coastal Watershed Institute</a> surrounded a beaver lodge with cameras to see what they are up to in the middle of winter. They stay pretty busy, constantly reinforcing and repairing their home. They even incorporate the trail camera as part of the lodge! Watch Notch-Tail and Smooth-Tail and their kit doing what beavers do. Yes, the baby beaver we hear at the beginning does appear on camera at about five minutes in.

Beavers do not eat fish or other meat, they unsurprisingly eat trees. So other animals do not fear them, and would just as soon move in to the lodge themselves to keep warm.
