You Don't Have to be Drunk to See a Pink Elephant

We all recall the musical sequence "Pink Elephant on Parade" in the movie Dumbo. But now we have a real life version! Jaco Joubert is a guide at Mala Mala Game Reserve in South Africa. When he saw this mother elephant and her pink baby, he grabbed his camera, because he knew no one would believe it otherwise.

The baby elephant appears to have a condition called leucism, which is a lack of pigmentation in the skin, and is not associated with albinism. He doesn't suffer from it, at least not socially, as the herd seems to care for this little one as much as they would any elephant calf. The condition is not dangerous physically, either.  See more pictures of the pink elephant at Latest Sightings.  -via Fark ā€‹
