Wildlife Photographer Simon Dell Built a Tiny Hobbit House for a Mouse Family

Animals are difficult subjects for photography because it takes a lot of patience and hours of waiting to capture the picture-perfect moment.

Simon Dell, a brilliant wildlife photographer from Sheffield, United Kingdom, managed to to capture that picture-perfect moment in the comfort of his own garden. Dell built a tiny “Hobbit” house out of old fruit, vegetables, and various props from around his house. Before long, an adorable family of mice moved in!

Dell named the mice George and Mildred, and their little baby Mini. He provides the family with berries, fruit, and nuts that he picked up on his walk around a nature reserve near his house. Over time, Dell became fond of the mouse family and continued to update their tiny Hobbit home.
