Truant's Grand Performance in the Masters Agility Championship

Agile, smart, obedient, focused, and more than anything else, fast. That's what it takes for a dog to best all competition in the agility run. Truant the border collie had everything he needed to come out on top in the 2023 Westminster Kennel Club Masters Agility Championship in New York last week. That's a good dog.

If you want to see Truant's competition, watch the amazing runs by other dogs that won in all the different size classes.

I was very impressed with the tiny Papillon named Purchase who was not only fast, but had the handicap of hardly any weight to move the teeter-totter. However, if you love to root for the "underdog," you'll get a kick out of Zeus the mastiff in this training session.

Gotta love him. Zeus barely fit into the tunnel! He's strong, well-trained, and agile for a dog his size, but he didn't quite understand the importance of speed in this game. Or maybe he did, and this was the fastest he could go. Mastiffs are the tortoise, not the hare. But let's be honest, they are all good dogs.
