Rhys McKinnon was surprised to find out that this beautiful picture he took of three ducks backdropped by the sunset hid a pleasant surprise—a swan!
McKinnon took this photo at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island in Massachusetts. He was already happy with the resulting photo of the sunset and three centered ducks. It was only while he was editing the photo that McKinnon noticed the swan camouflaged into the icy river banks.
McKinnon was delighted but wished he realised earlier so that he could capture "some more photos of it and focused in on it."
