What strikes me in this compilation is the variety of ways that cat owners have tried to protect the tree. One person set their tree on a high piece of furniture, which didn't do any good. One put a shower enclosure around the tree! Hanging the tree from the ceiling will keep it from toppling, but won't keep the cat out of it. One family put a sheet of clear vinyl around the tree, which made the cat look exceedingly sad, but he'll manage to climb over that soon.
Most of my cats are elderly, and got over climbing the Christmas tree years ago, but all I have left are unbreakable ornaments anyway. Besides, in their younger years, they were good at climbing a tree without making it fall over. A cat can be just another ornament. -via Everlasting Blort
