“Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?” Indiana Jones famously did not care for snakes. He suffers from ophidophobia, which is referenced a few times in the films.
Perhaps this recent event will change his perspective on humanity’s scaly friends. The Hollywood Reporter informs us that American and Peruvian researchers exploring the fauna of the Andes mountain discovered a previously unidentified snake species and named it after actor Harrison Ford. It's now known as Tachymenoides harrisonfordi. The scientists found a single male specimen (Indiana Jones was never really a team player) sunbathing in 2022. He’s an adorable fellow.
