Look at this lovely feline fashionista! This is Princess Cecily, and she lives at The Cattery Cat Shelter in Corpus Christi, Texas. Cecily is a Manx cat born with Manx syndrome. It doesn't affect all Manx cats, but Cecily was the unlucky one of the litter. She has some organ abnormalities, and her hind legs were deformed. When her non-functional legs began to cause trouble for her, they were amputated. Cecily walks on her two front feet!
Besides her legs, the only noticeable effect of her disability is that Cecily is incontinent, and must wear a diaper. To keep it on, a volunteer sewed a harness for her that the cat became used to early in life. And the volunteer just kept sewing, making fabulous outfits for Cecily to wear over her harness. Her fashion sense made Cecily an Instagram star.
Proceeds from Cecily's social media accounts and the sale of t-shirts and other merchandise continue to pay for her diapers and veterinary care. Princess Cecily is five years old now, and a permanent resident and ambassador for the shelter. -via Farkā
