Pony Leads Cops On A Two-Hour “Low-Speed Pursuit” Before Turning Itself In

Alabama's Tuscaloosa Police Department received a call last week about a pony spotted alone near the area. The department immediately dispatched three officers at the location reported to round the pony, but this proved easier than done.

The pony, called Ginuwine, led the officers on a "low-speed foot pursuit" for two hours. He went "up and down driveways and through people's backyards," the department stated. The officers, meanwhile, tailed the pony. They tried offering treats to lure Ginuwine, but it did not work.

Eventually, the pony surrendered on his own and even posed for selfies. Maybe that day's cardio day for Ginuwine, thus the long jog around the neighborhood.

But where did Ginuwine come from? Nobody knows, but currently, he is under custody. And in case they don't find Ginuwine's owners, the police have a permanent home arranged for the pony.
