It seems that nothing would stop this Amazon delivery driver from completing his task - not even a bear!
A Ring doorbell camera captured a tense face-off between an Amazon delivery man and a black bear outside a house in Upland, California.
The homeowner, a man named Josh, was at the mall with his family when he got an alert on his phone that a black bear was walking down his driveway. Then, soon afterward, he saw an Amazon driver coming to his fence to make a delivery.
Josh immediately alerted the Amazon driver through the Ring doorbell by yelling, "Stop right there, there's a bear there!"
The bear popped on top of the fence and stared down the Amazon driver, who remained calm for a moment as if he was thinking of what to do next. Then, the man raised his arms, making himself appear bigger to the bear.
That worked: the bear backed down and moved away from the fence, and the Amazon delivery driver calmly continue his walk up the driveway to deliver the package.
"It seemed like [the driver] knew what to do and he kept calm. We were watching his exit the whole time to ensure he safely left," says Josh in the YouTube clip description provided by Ring. "Getting the Motion Alerts is helpful to know when it is/isn't safe to go outside, especially with two young kids and a dog. We've waited to go outside and also come in early based on wildlife."
