Joseph Mendoza is a horse trainer in Arizona. He loves those noble animals, but his bestie is Chip, a pigeon. They go camping together. Here is Chip perched on Mendoza’s hammock tent. Inside is a custom tent made just for Chip.
It’s one of, I gather, a few different pigeon tents that Mendoza has made for Chip. He’s also had different pigeons: Chip’s predacessor was a pigeon named Fish, who tragically fell ill and died.
Mendoza's pigeons don’t stay caged during their camping trips. They often fly free, but return to Mendoza. I can understand why: a lot of pigeons wouldn’t get such opportunities to ride horses.
