Fire Department Rescues Capybara from Storm Drain

Capybaras are the world's largest rodent. They are known for being
friendly and manage to make friends with other animal species. Last
month, a good-sized capybara somehow found himself in a storm drain
in Biguaçu, Brazil. Someone spotted him through a small grate, but he
couldn't have fallen in at that location. Who knows where he became
trapped, or how long he had been underground? The Biguaçu Fire Department responded. The drain grate was stuck, so they had to use the Jaws of Life to break the concrete so they could lift it up.

That was a much bigger animal than you would have expected in the
storm sewer. After some struggle, he eventually needed a bit of help
getting out of the hole. Capybaras are famously nonchalant. No matter
what situation they are in, their faces look calm and serene. Still, you
have to see that this guy was eager to get out of that drain and happy
to be free again. We are quite curious about the rest of his story, but
that will only be known to the capybaras he tells it to. A translation
from the Instagram video says:

Congratulations to 2nd Sgt Marlésio, Corporal Diego, AL BC Maier and AL BC Oliveira for the excellent work done.
