Police in the east Texas town of Lufkin received a call from a resident who spotted a kangaroo on the loose in a residential neighborhood. He initially thought that he saw a dog, but dogs don’t move that way. The resident wasn’t sure whether he should call animal control or the police. The cops responded anyway, as you can see from this cruiser dashcam footage of the kangaroo staying on the bounce. They later captured the escaped marsupial, whose owner had accidentally left their fence gate open. The police returned the kangaroo to its captivity among its humans.
