This is heartbreaking.
A loyal and lovable dog was just left in an empty lot next to a car wash by her previous family. While they did leave her with a blanket and some food, it does not compare to the anguish she probably felt as she waited for them to return… only to realize that they never will.
This is Nirvana’s situation before she was found by Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy dog rescue. “She was lying there for two days,” she said to the Dodo. Nirvana, the pupper, was provided with more food when workers from the neighboring car wash saw her sleeping on the curb alone.
According to Hall, Nirvana did eat the food given to her, but she was just sleeping the entire time she stayed in the empty lot. The dog was still sleepy when Hall went to rescue her. “I got a leash around her, and she just wiggled her butt,” Hall said. “She knew someone came to save her.”
The pupper, after being taken care of at an animal hospital, is now recuperating in a foster home. “Her foster mom just loves her,” Hall said. “She totally cuddles at night with her foster mom.”
We certainly hope that Nirvana forgets about the sadness as she spends time with her new foster parent. Additionally, we also wish that she will find a forever home.
