Hati the dog is apparently named for Hati Hróðvitnisson, a divine wolf in Norse mythology that, at the end of the world, will pursue the sun and moon across the sky. With Hati comes destruction.
But at the moment, Hati is more serene. Ragnarok will come later. In the meantime, Hati is making friends with koi that lives in his grandfather’s backyard pond. As soon as he arrives at his grandfather’s home, Hati rushes back to meet his watery friends. He’s especially fond of Cheeto, the largest and appropriately orange-colored koi.
Hati loves nothing more than wallowing in the water and nose-booping the fish. When the end comes, these fish will be safe.
