Lisa McDonald’s mom has been living under assisted care for sometime. Upon realizing that her mother’s condition is rapidly deteriorating, she and her sister come up with a plan to surprise her with her favorite thing : Bambi. Their mother loves the Disney deer so much she owns Bambi T-shirts, has Bambi statues, and considers deers the most beautiful animals.
The sisters quickly got in touch with a mobile petting zoo near their home in Melbourne. Coincidentally, the couple who owned it happened to have a deer fawn named, you guessed it, Bambi. They even drove two hours to McDonald’s mom’s hospice to bring Bambi to see her.
McDonald later posted photos and a video of the encounter on The Kindness Pandemic Facebook group, bringing so many to tears.
