In a shocking act of cruelty, someone left a pillowcase on the side of the road with a cat tied up in it. A woman named Sara was driving by in the rain in Niagara Falls, New York, and saw the pillowcase move. She stopped and found a wet long-haired grey female cat inside, who immediately ran when freed. The cat sought shelter in Sara's car engine. She called authorities, and two SPCA officers retrieved the cat from the car engine. She was taken to the Niagara SPCA shelter and appeared to be unhealthy and uninjured, although scared and wet.
The SPCA would like to find out if this poor cat belongs to someone. They are asking the public if anyone recognizes the cat, and you can see more pictures at Facebook. ā
To the person who did this- we'll reserve comment because it won't be suitable for public consumption.
We cannot assume that the the cat's owner and the person that tied the cat into a pillowcase are the same person, but they would like to know both the owner and the perpetrator. If the owner isn't found, Sara is interested in adopting her. -via Farkā
