Get yourself a hanky because you're going to need it- this story is both sad and sweet. Caleb was a rescued from a trash can. He was already elderly, starving, and quite sick. Who knows what kind of desperate life he'd been living? Caleb was taken in by Michele Klein of Peaceful Mountain Cat Sanctuary, which is also her family's home on 70 acres. They didn't expect Caleb to survive, but he thrived under their care, just happy to be safe and have enough to eat. Then about ten months later, Caleb decided it was time, and he wanted to go outside. Klein was determined to make him happy as he was facing his last days. When you've composed yourself a bit, here's a video showing some of Caleb's outdoor adventures.
Caleb was declining, but he was happy. What more could a cat ask for? He touched a lot of people. His outings went on for a week.
