Baby Skunk Pulls a Houdini Act

The cutest babies can get get away with anything.

Newhouse Wildlife Rescue in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, takes in foxes, squirrels, opossums, beavers, and any wild creatures that need a helping hand. A litter of baby skunks came into their care recently, and one managed to get out of their cage and she headed straight for the kibble! When she was caught red-handed inside the bag, she stomped her tiny feet in protest, but followed directions and went right back to her cage, where her sibling had also escaped. You'll laugh at how well they follow directions, and how they escaped in the first place. It appears that skunk kits are much smaller than they appear. They are all fluff. You can say they are "supa fluffy!"

Some folks who have encountered this problem have had luck with putting cardboard or cling wrap around the lower part of the cage. That only works until whatever creature is inside learns to climb, but maybe they will be bigger by then. -via Fark ā€‹
