Latest Sightings brings us this thrilling video from the Mala Mala Game Reserve in South Africa. Steff McWilliam and Michael Botes, who are hunting guides there, recorded a pack of wild dogs hunting Klipspringers, which are small antelope.
The antelope sought refuge on the edges of boulders where their narrow feet could perch, but the dogs could not approach. It’s amazing how calm the antelope remain while just inches from death at the jaws of these dogs! They patiently wait out their foes until, McWilliam and Botes report, they wild dogs lost interest and left for easier prey.
