Now that it's autumn, we're seeing squirrels everywhere. They are busy gathering food to stash away for winter. In my yard, they'll find plenty of acorns and walnuts. Every once in a while, I'll find one of their stashes under the deck. But squirrels have two methods of storing food- the other way is to eat as much as possible and put on a lot of fat! That's the preferred method for the squirrel above. Below is a squirrel who took the easy way out. While his friends were stowing away nuts for the winter, he just hopped into a convenience store, grabbed a candy bar, and made off with it!

We hear that once he got away with theft, he came back again and again. But we also enjoy seeing squirrels take a rest every once in a while, and they can be quite cute doing it.
