Hong Kong has a population density of 17,311 people per square mile. Real estate is expensive and homes are small. It’s just not practical for most people to keep dogs or other pets that require a lot of space. That’s why, the AP reports, rabbits are popular pets—especially now that we’re in the Year of the Rabbit.
Wild rabbits spend most of their lives in underground communities, so domesticated rabbits can be quite happy spending most of the day inside a cage. But they still need to roam around and socialize with other rabbits. So it’s helpful that there’s now a rabbit resort in Hong Kong. Bunny Style offers an air conditioned playroom for parties, spa treatments (such as nail trimmings), and just hopping about.
