80 Escaped Ostriches Race Through the Streets in China

There was a traffic jam of sorts that made one Saturday morning commute in Chongzuo City in China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a bit unusual. Instead of slow moving cars, there were dozens of ostriches running on the road.  

A video shared by China Global Television Network showed the flightless swift-running birds sprinting by the dozens on a highway.

The police said that over 80 ostriches fled from a farm through an unlocked gate. The loose animals have been safely returned and thankfully no injuries were reported, according to the officials. - via UPI
